(UPDATE) MALABON Mayor Jeannie Sandoval announced on Thursday that the city has secured a deal with private trash haulers in Rodriguez, Rizal, following the closure of the Navotas sanitary landfill.
“I am reassuring my constituents that there is no need to worry about a possible garbage crisis in the city after the closure of the Navotas sanitary landfill where Malabon dumps its trash,” Sandoval said.

“We anticipated its closure and were able to find a quick solution by closing a deal with the Rodriguez sanitary landfill in Rizal. We trust our private haulers to carry out the tasks,” she added., This news data comes from:http://jg-gic-xlqc-ghcl.gangzhifhm.com
Malabon averts crisis with garbage deal
City Administrator Alexander Rosete explained that Malabon has its own transfer station where garbage collected throughout the city is gathered before being hauled by trucks to the Rizal landfill.
“We want to make it clear that the new system will not add any additional cost to the city’s coffers, as it is part of the city government’s contract with the private haulers,” Rosete said.
The two officials appealed to residents to practice waste segregation and refrain from improper garbage disposal.
